Following the announcement of Lockdown 3, Bazaar creators, the Open Door Charity (ODC) were faced with the upsetting reality of needing to suspend face-to-face support sessions at their HQ – the Bloom Building, Birkenhead. While the team agreed that it was the right decision to protect the health of their members and volunteers, they were ultimately concerned about the many young people who would be unable to access other support services at this time.

In response to this, the Open Door Charity has been developing an innovative new version of Bazaar, called ‘Bazaar Solus’, that can be delivered entirely remotely. This creative programme encourages people to disrupt their negative thought processes and replace them with positive, resolute thinking strategies.

People can complete Bazaar Solus at any time that works for them. All participants need is an internet connection and a device. ODC hope that making this new version of Bazaar accessible to all will support those experiencing mental health challenges through this lockdown and beyond.

The Bazaar Solus programme is available for free for anybody between 18 and 25 years old who is experiencing low mood, anxiety, or stress over the lockdown period.

ODC encourages anyone between the ages of 18 and 25 to sign up for their remote Bazaar programme by visiting the Open Door Contact Page and selecting the ‘FREE Bazaar Solus License’ option in the ‘Enquiry Type’ field. Following the enquiry, a member of the Open Door Charity team will be in touch and will aim to set you up with a Bazaar account within 48 hours.
